Three Carnegie Endowment senior associates – Lilia Shevtsova, Minxin Pei, and Robert Kagan – have been named to a list of the world's Top 100 Public Intellectuals compiled by Foreign Policy for its May/June issue. The chief selection criteria were activity in public life, distinction in a particular field and an ability to influence wider debate, often beyond the borders of the candidate's home country. A list of the Top 20 Public Intellectuals - based on the votes of Foreign Policy website users - will be published in the July/August issue.
