Three Carnegie scholars presented a joint Russian-American panel on Russia’s
political system and directions in Russia at the Carnegie Endowment for International
Peace in Washington on May 5. Maria Lipman, editor-in-chief of the
Carnegie Moscow Center's Pro et Contra journal and Nikolay Petrov, scholar-in-residence
at the Center and chair of its Society and Regions program, were joined by CEIP
senior associate Michael McFaul for the analysis of
the likelihood of continuity or change in Dmitry Medvedev's first term as
president of Russia.
