What is EduLab?

Knowledge is a public good for the benefit of all. Acting on this philosophy, EduLab is a model for an alternative knowledge environment and experience, not simply a new e-learning community. EduLab is committed to be open, free, comfortable, inspiring, and practical.

There is no limit to the power of the mind. Convinced of this truth, EduLab model integrates and centralizes multistream channels of contents into a dynamic learner-centered learning experience. EduLab does not replace traditional educational and research institutions but it does all what they do not do.

Trusting peers more than experts can generate a large scale creation of new knowledge through a learning process in which anyone moves from knowledge receiver to knowledge maker.

EduLab allows anyone to learn by exploring contents using the integrated community resources such as wiki, articles, blogs, events, people, presentations, tag charts, etc...

Supported by a powerful community resources integrated system each learner may transform his/her psychological structure of knowledge into an effective and new enriching learning experience. The user/learner is both the owner and the donor of any discovery occured using EduLab.

Joining EduLab learning community opens to an innovative approach to knowledge where continuous learning and successful experience replaces the classical dichotomy success/failure.

EduLab is social: confrontations and collaborations with peers are encouraged as they have a series of positive "collateral effects":

- Comments and ratings help revising and changing any submitted contents, thus creating new knowledge;
- Sharing of ideas increases creativity;
- Collaborative activities require a good level of understanding and negotiation abilities to reach consensus;
- Collaboration increases trust into peers: their advocacy is valuable!

The full potential of EduLab and its ultimate impact is yet not known. However, we encourage and welcome wide participation to be part of the worldwide community of educators and learners who are demonstrating the power of unlocking knowledge.
